A celebration of food, place and community

An elegant evening in the heart of Bright, bringing together the flavours, stories and people of the Ovens Valley

The event

A different kind of dining experience.

Not a festival.
Not a street event.

But an evening of movement, discovery and shared hospitality.

This May, four of Bright’s most respected venues — Koji Bird, Basils, Tomahawks and Sir Loins — come together to create a progressive dining experience across the town.

Composed and supported by the Bright Chamber of Commerce, with funding from the Victorian Government through the Alpine Business Recovery Package, the event represents both a celebration of the region and a meaningful opportunity to support and give back to businesses impacted, while taking a thoughtful step forward in how Bright presents its culinary identity.

The experience

Guests will move through four venues over the course of the night, enjoying one course at each location.

Destinations remain a mystery until the end of each course, allowing anticipation to build and the town itself to become part of the experience.

Each dish is paired with a local beverage collaborator — a winery, brewery or distillery — offering a considered expression of the region in every stop.

The Last Stop for the night is a high-energy after-party with live music, a full dance floor and a shared celebration to end the evening together.

Fork in the Road is about more than dining.

It’s about showcasing the maturity, creativity and collaborative spirit of Bright — one course at a time.
